Power of sharing

Should we Share what we know and think with others? Of course we should. Doing so will in no way diminish what I have already. Infact the chances are you will enrich yourself further.

Why To Share?

When we share physical things like money/material/place, we may be left with a little in physical but the joy of giving is much more. Also the blessings we get in are tremendous. When you love a person you are ready to part away with your loving things very easily because you are giving it to someone lovely to you.

So, you are ready to sacrifice. There is a story of a couple that used to love each other. They were very poor financially. The husband had a beautiful golden wrist watch but he did not have the strap to wear it. And the wife had a bad feeling inside her heart that her husband cannot wear the watch. Sameway the wife had beautiful golden hair but no clip to wear and for that the husband had the same feeling about her wife.

On the day of their marriage anniversary both of them thought of gifting something to each other. Just see their love and hence sacrifice for each other—The husband sold her wristwatch and bought a golden clip for his wife and the wife got her golden hair cut sold them and bought a golden strap for her husband. Although both of them could not use their respective things but the joy of giving /sacrificing was tremendous. When we share our thoughts with others they get doubled.

If I have a penny and you have a penny and we exchange we both are left with a penny only. On the contrary if I have an idea and you have an idea and we exchange, we both are left with two ideas. So, we must share.

It is only when you give, you get. We give carbon dioxide and get oxygen. It is only when we exhale we can inhale.

Generally, People are reluctant in sharing with the fear of loosing something but the truth is just opposite. We may call them Misers/Hiders/Fighters.

How to Share?

There are people when they share or help others they do it with an internal tendency of getting something in return may be in form of fame, name, status, kind, etc…They wait for that and if they do not get they turn out to be furious. Their sharing is not the true one, rather it is mere selfishness. At times there is small iota of getting praise from others in the mind, which may affect our power of sharing and I do feel that appreciation is a tool to boost your efficiency, but the real happiness and satisfaction remains even if there is no applaud from any side because there was no demand for this from inside. The actual satisfaction is in giving and not on getting.

When you share with the spirit of helping others, you develop and grow yourself. This is the power of sharing. Because than universe will share with you. The universe shares its bounty unconditionally with you. Does it look for gratitude or benefits in return? It has shared with you in the natural spirit of sharing. It has shared to help you, to make you happy. This is how one must share. By sharing thus, you share as the universe has shared with you.

This commonality brings you in the inner circle of the universe. Naturally as an inner circle member your share in the bounty of the universe increases.

Does a candle loose anything when it helps another candle to get lit? Apparently it does, it is no longer the only torch in the neighborhood. It seems to have lost its exclusivity – But this loss is temporary. And nothing in comparison to the gain it follows. Because now this candle is a part of an atmosphere which is full of light. The loneliness of the candle is no more and its solitude is replaced by the camaraderie of torches around it.

The atmosphere besides it is full of light. It is brightly illuminated. loneliness is no more and naturally it is time to celebrate. And the inner satisfaction, which this candle gets, is the best part of it. This candle has the satisfaction of having made all this possible.

Remember you cannot be truly wealthy unless you share your wealth. Neale Donald Walsch – in conversation with God says.

–    A true master is not one with the most students but one who creates most masters.

–    A true leader is not the one with the most followers but the one who creates the most leaders.

–    A true king is not the one with the most subjects but the one who leads the most to royalty.

–    God shares every iota of knowledge with us but still He is an ocean of knowledge

–    A naturopath tells that you cannot inhale deeply unless you exhale strongly. This logic applies not only to the system of respiration but it applies to every transaction of life. Rather I would say it is a cosmic cyclic law, which governs all our transactions.

–    Wealth creators also know that money grows with circulation. This law governs even field of ideas.

This thought finds its echo in Gurjief’s words, when he says – “Whatever I shared is still mine, rest I have lost.” Lastly in the words of a poet – “Sahyog se hoga sarvodaya sab suno ai insano ,sahyog karo sahyog karo o prabhu ki santano,o prabhu ki santano……..”
